Since 2008, when we founded the SPORTordination medical practice, we have been conveniently located at Alser Straße 28 in central Vienna’s 9th district, making us easy to reach by public transport. Because of our proximity to the AKH (Vienna General Hospital), three private hospitals, and numerous medical facilities, everything from X-rays, orthopedic labs, and bloodwork is available within walking distance.
Initially, our second-floor Alser Straße premises included a community of three clinics (trauma surgery/sports traumatology/orthopedics, preventive medicine/sports sciences and physiotherapy), but rapid growth led us to quickly expand to three separate locations along Alser Straße.
After more than ten years of successful growth and continuous expansion, in 2017 we began planning a new facility, the SPORTambulatorium Wien – Center for Orthopedics and Sports Traumatology. Our operating permit was issued in early 2019.
By then we were ready to push beyond the limits of our previous business model and undertook an intensive phase of renovations in order to provide all the services of an outpatient clinic.
The state-of-the-art SPORTambulatorium Wien has opened up fresh perspectives and given us the opportunity to expand the services and care we provide our patients.
A large team of doctors and extended hours reduce wait times for everyone, from patients with acute injuries to those with chronic pain or stress-related issues.
As we continue expanding, we understand the crucial importance of maintaining the high quality of service we provide our patients, a goal we pursue through rigorous and consistent quality management.

2004
Opening of our first location – the small SPORTordination on Börseplatz.

2008
Opening of the current location and the SPORTordination medical practice by Dr. Christian Gäbler, Julia Haberzettl, and Dr. Robert Fritz, together with Mag. Michael Koller.

2013
Expansion, including an additional practice on the ground floor and barrier-free access.

2015
Preventive medicine offices move to spacious nearby premises at Alser Straße 27.

2017
Another expansion adds a physiotherapy practice in the courtyard, which in 2019 moves from the second floor to our new location on Lederergasse.

2018
Renovation of the Ambulatorium and expansion to include the entire second floor.

2019
Opening of the Sportambulatorium Wien – Center for Orthopedics and Sports Traumatology.
